Had an appointment yesterday for a consultation. A random women called a half hour prior saying they weren't going to make it. Rescheduled for today and they never showed up. Called in and they had no clue what was going on but made it very clear it was not their fault. But then asked if I was still interested.

GMP Flooring took on a job that many other floor contractors would not even bid. The job was a fully furnished second floor and steps. The work involved repairing and refinishing four rooms of old quarter-inch oak, installing one room and a hallway and landing with new oak, refinishing steps, and fabricating thresholds and transitions. The workers had to move furniture from room to room and work in stages. (One contractor who bid the job told us to hire movers to put the furniture in storage and for us to stay in a hotel while they worked; others took complete measurements but never submitted a bid.) GMP’s prices were also quite reasonable in comparison with several contractors who submitted bids.
The GMP workers were professional and courteous, and the installers and carpenters were highly skilled. The workers cleaned up every day. They removed all shoe molding, and replaced it with new shoe molding when finished with the polyurethane. They sanded and repaired under radiators. The corrected mistakes and redid any places we requested. They covered the cost of a broken item. In the end, the work was beautifully done.
I originally considered four stars instead of five because customers will have to adapt to language issues. The workers are Brazilian, and only some speak English, although some can speak a bit of Spanish. The supervisors speak English, and the customers and workers can use Google Translate to communicate. In short, customers have to be prepared to deal with that issue, and some may find it a problem. Second, there were some delays because the sales representative underestimated the amount of wood for repairs on the original bid, and we had to order more. That issue turned out not to be a problem because it reflected the installer's more meticulous standard on needed repairs, and the result was worth the wait.
In the time since the work was done and I posted the original review, I am more and more impressed with how splendid the work by GMP looks.

GMP removed my carpet from the bedrooms area, and installed the engineered Hardwood floor. The team are well trained and after the job done they cleaned everything. They work hard and are focused of doing it perfect.

Good price and started almost on schedule. Wellington missed the appointment for bid with no notice and no call.
Workers could not tell us what time to expect them just showed up at random times each day - including 8:00 one night after we waited for 12 hours! Job consisted of refinishing floors in 4 rooms. Floors looked great when they finished until they but a long scrape in the family room floor moving the furniture back. A little hand sanding and an extra coat of varnish did not remove the marks. They also did not do the thresholds on the doors so I’m sanding and varnishing to get the details right.

Overall the company seemed very unprofessional and poorly organized. We will not be calling them again.

GMP did our kitchen backsplash and I’m obsessed with how wonderful it turned out. They were also great to work with from getting the quote, to scheduling the work, to coming out when they said they would. See photos! Would definitely hire again!

Another amazing tile experience with GMP flooring! They were meticulous with demo and placing cement board on our fireplace hearth and surround, then Clayton did a fantastic job installing our Carrara marble tile. Thank you thank you to everyone at GMP flooring!

GMP did a great job on my floors. I have an old house and 2 bedrooms were combined into one. The area where the former wall was needed to have flooring filled in and toothed into the larger room. GMP removed all of the hardwood in the smaller section and tediously fit it back together along with extra flooring that I had from the old demo. This was a tough one and they did not let me done. I really appreciate their work.
